Once Wed!!! I have posted about Once Wed before, but I just can’t stop going back and looking at it, beautiful images of real weddings, and beautiful and creative ideas! It is amazing to see so much creativity out there I just love it! Check out these great ideas from some postings from Once Wed.

Check out this- the bridesmaid is wearing what looks like a simple sun dress, you can find something like this just about anywhere- or make your own, or have grandma make them….but really with the cost of fabric it is almost cheaper to just buy them at a department store…keep your eyes peeled for unique, stylish, and simple patterns, or just a solid!

The suit! Why not try something from a vintage shop…than you can always wear it later too!

Your wedding does not have to be elaborate or expensive…it is all about resources and creativity!! think outside the box as my 8th grade English teacher used to always say!! If you want something really traditional than that is just great!! Think traditional: estate sale! If your a little more artsy or just love bold color and unique ideas that are totally you than go for it…go to thrift stores, vintage shops, and make things, use your friends and family as resources for information, the internet is a great resource!! Take your time, your engagement should not be stressful, don’t get consumed by the little stuff, just enjoy each other (the two of you should use this special time to prepare for your marriage, the rest of your life together, not just the wedding) and have fun with family and friends as you plan and create your special day!

Sneakers! woo hoo! and blue striped pants!! ADORABLE!

If you splurge on anything for your wedding day, let it me your photography!! I don’t know how many people I have talked to that said they wish they would of spent the money on the photos!! Believe me the day goes so fast, your adrenaline is rushing and well frankly you just don’t remember all that happened when the night is over! Your brain has been crammed full of information that is 7 days worth!! The photos are what you have for a lifetime to bring back those memories! Splurge on the photographer of your dreams, who’s work do you just love…there are so many great photographers around…take your time and pick the one right for you!

hehe this makes me giggle!

adorable printed programs, stamped or screen printing, from an image it looks like of the two of them! Check out your local art resources, some screen printing studios teach classes or have workshops! again resources!! be creative….and delegate to someone you can trust, and if you can afford a wedding planner, or at least a “day coordinator” to make sure everything runs smoothly (great!) and than you two love birds can just relax, and take in the day and all its emotion! (if you can’t afford this- ask a friend that has been to many weddings before, and has been involved with wedding planning! you want someone who can be organized, knows what is going on and on top of things)

Happy Wedding Planning!

I just recently found this great blogger, not only is it a blog, but you can also sell your designer wedding dress on this site- or you can buy one for way cheaper! How fabulous! Once Wed is such a great site…you must check out the designer dress section (to sell your dress or to buy one) and what a great resource for wedding ideas! I pulled these images from the site. I just love the vintage, romantic farm wedding….the little blue and white tea bags (what great favor ideas!) and the little birds on the cake! ADORABLE!!
