A few weeks ago I had dinner with my friend Miranda…(also a photographer) artists stick together! Check out her website! She made me the yummiest most mouth watering treat ever! And it is so easy & simple, taste so good, the perfect dessert for a summer day! Here is the recipe for a delectable Strawberry Shortcake…there is nothing like it! I loved it so much I dreamt about it that night! haha go figure! I am pretty sure my mind thinks 70% of the time of food! I always asked when the next meal was….”Mom whats for lunch, whats for dinner…” ever since I was little, always right after I just ate! lol! So the next day I made this for my husband Anthony and here are some pics!

Strawberry Shortcake:

you will need….

-4 cups sliced fresh strawberries

-1/2 cup sugar

-2 1/3 cups Original Bisquick mix (the recipe is adapted from the back)

-1/2 cup milk

- 3 Tbsp sugar

-3 Tbsp butter or margarine, melted

- 1 1/2 cups whipping cream

- more sugar for whipping cream….1/3-1/2 cup or so give or take…hehe

MIX strawberries and 3 Tbsp sugar, set aside or chill. Preheat oven to 425

STIR bisquick mix, milk, 1/2 cup sugar and melted butter until soft dough forms…

BAKE 10-12 minutes until golden brown (take them out while still a guey in middle and let finish cooking on pan- you don’t want to overcook them- you want them guey and warm in the inside- it melts in your mouth!

WHIP whipping cream and sugar together in a cold (freeze a glass bowl and mixer- not the whole thing- just the attachment that mixes- lol! 20 minutes or so in the freezer will do the trick) Whip until fluffy!

TOP one shortcake with strawberries and cream, than top that with another little cake

EAT when still hot! yummy!

CAUTION high in fat! lol!
