A week or two I saw this idea on Elizabeth Anne Designs. It is just adorable and the original post is from Our Best Bites. How cute would little mini jar servings be for a wedding favor! It would be super easy to make. Spend a day with Grandma and cousins baking up a storm than freeze them in Mom’s chest freezer and delegate Auntie to bake them the day before the wedding. Decorate them with a bow or two, cover with the lid and viola, Perfect favors or substitute them for the wedding cake if your not a cake person!

To view the recipe: ClICK HERE!

Stay tuned because I am going to make some myself! (no this recipe  is not gluten free, that is on my list next, master a gluten free crust, not as easy as you think)

Let’s Get Crafty

I am posting a few amazing photos I originally saw on Elizabeth Anne Designs! The images are originally from Sunday Suppers (an adorable blog with beautiful images). I just love these few images. So crisp. What a great idea for a fun unique party or for your wedding guests. A dessert wine table filled with lots of yummies and displayed in the most simple creative way.

In order to recreate this adorable display for your next event you will need:

- cheese & more (lots of it) think in pairs, cheeses that go together or go well with other things, like nuts, crackers, pears, other fruit or jams, honey, the sky i the limit.

- artisan bread (from your local European styled bakery, Milwaukee: metro market, or panera is where I get mine)

- beautiful plane white cake stands (small and large) or whatever you have

- cheese cloth (the cheapest thing at the Hardware store) and makes a unique table cloth

- a wooden table, rustic (or whatever you have)

- paper for cheese/food signs (to let your guests know what is what

- guest card holders for those signs (try www.save-on-crafts.com)

- on large cutting board (wooden, plastic, marble)

Use all of these items and some of your own to put together a unique display of dessert for your wedding guests or friends and family (wine & cheese night! woo hoo!)

This year I really want to spice up the blog. So in order to do that I am going to have a few regular posts. As always I will still be posting sneak peaks for all my clients but I want to create a little more depth for my readers. So in order to do that this is what I have in store.

~ weekly “So Inspired” post….a fun inspiration board to help you out in your wedding planning

~ “let’s get crafty” posts on do it yourself items from myself or others

~ “Mrs. Manners: Survival of a Rude culture for the Modern Girl”  This is a feature that I have been wanting to do for some time now, I have experienced a lot of rudeness from all sorts of people and I truly believe that people just don’t realize what is rude and what is not, so in these posts I am going to educate on how to act, eat, and be merry. But also to point out what is considered “rude” in all circumstances such as work, friends and life.

~ Brides, I am excited to offer other thoughts from some of my Brides “in the wedding process” and “after” I am hoping to get a few of my Brides to discuss their planning experiences and offer up advise to other Brides. If you are one of my Brides and interested in doing a 10-15 series post on our blog please let me know, we would love for you to share your experiences with our readers.

~ Give-Aways (a chance for readers to win prizes!)

Well these are just a few of the things I have in store for our blog. I hope you enjoy them all!

Have a wonderful week.

xoxo,

Brittany
