Both Antony and I took a lot of photos while on our trip in Italy…it is going to take be a really long time to sift through them all and edit. So I decided I will try and edit just a few each week or every two weeks (going in order of our trip) so that I can recreate our trip visually! I just have two much on my plate right now (lots of work, weddings to edit, marketing to do, a beautiful album to finish) so the Italy photos will come in small installations!
Anthony and I left for Italy March 14th. If you ever get the chance to fly first class Air France…you must do it! It was amazing…treated like royalty!
We landed in Roma and our pal Eric who lives in Italy came to pick us up at the airport. We spent 5 days with Eric and his roommate who live in Licola (30 minutes outside of Napoli aka Naples)….here is the beginning of our trip…

Meet Jackie…the very adorable furry friend. This is Eric’s dog! She had her very own personal photo shot with me the first afternoon that we arrived!

My handsome Anthony and the cute neighbor dog…I can’t wait to show the photos that Anthony took!

Our 2nd experience at Cafe…my very first Italian Cappuccino!

Downtown Napoli…Napoli is a very interesting city. It is not your typical Italian tourist town. In fact not many people here speak English (if they do very little) and the place is crawling with Italinans everywhere! Amazing food and vino…cheap cheap. But it does have its downside, despite its charm it also has a huge trash issue…trash is everywhere (do to the rebelion of the city to remove trash) the air smells like exhaust and it reminds me a lot of Lima, Peru..but despite all that it is a great city with great food, and cheap designer rip offs!
Prada here we come!

The very tall grasses that are all along the shore line in the outskirts of Napoli- I think we where lost at this point…a round about road that leads to well no where and you can’t figure out how to get back…Italy has a lot of those! A GPS with maps of Europe is a life savor.

yummy eating a rum cake for breakfast…very spongy texture…Italians eat pastries all day with cafe (very small espresso shot that has like 2 pots worth of caffeine in it! woo!) Than at dinner which they eat very late…around 8-9pm they have a very large 3-4 course meal over the period of like 2-3 hours! The reason for the late dinner is due to the fact that work starts at 8am but than they have a break from 1-3 (all shops and most restaurants will close at this time) than work will resume and they will work until 7pm..at that time the restaurants will open back up…although if you are in a heavily trafficked tourist area you may be able to eat earlier or even have a traditional lunch…they like to caterer to the tourists..

laundry- most Italians don’t have dryers…it is a luxury and so you will see laundry hanging every where! It is one of my favorite parts about Italy!

this poor doll is lost…we found her in a pile of garbage…naturally I had to take a photo of it…

awww riding into the sun on the Amalfi Coast…and some very yummy vino and capresse….lol i mean yummy nail polish tasting wine..one of the few bad restaurants…this one was in Sorrento.
