I recently stumbled across “Wedding Chicks” and now it is my fav!! For all the brides out there who are looking for some fantastic inspiration for the big day…this blog is for you! I snagged a few images of some beautiful wedding palettes that I just love!
Palette #1
The Earthy Mo(dern) Wedding
I love the details of this wedding. The natural earth tones done up in a modern swing is very refreshing. Some of my favorites are the “bird and the bee” cake topper, the bright green shoes, the little table card holders..very creative and very easy to put together I am sure. I love the rocks at the bottom of a simple but classy flower arrangement. Images by Heather Ahrens.

Palette #2 The Glam Wedding
If you don’t know already I am a sucker for pink! I used to hate pink. It might have something to do with my childhood bedroom. Every thing in the room was pink…anyways…after I grew out of my hatred of pink I begin to love the color actually. Now most of my wardrobe consists of pink, red and ummmmmm pink and red
. I have no idea what this beautiful bouquet all has in it but is it not extremely unique?! I have never seen anything like it. I also love satin in details because it photographs so beautifully. Photos by Christine Meintjes Photography.

Palette #3 The FUN(chic) Wedding
I love this one. I am a fan of bright bold colors and I have recently had a new love of yellow. I never really was very found of it before….but is it not beautiful? This wedding palette is fun and blasting with fruitiness! I love the yellow feather hair piece…the bright Popsicle’s for a hot summer day and the colorful bouquets. Image by Green Apple Photography.

Palette #4 The Elegant Wedding
I love the soft pink peonies with the champagne and a splash of blue. This wedding is elegant and filled with richness. Maybe throw in some smokey charcoal bridesmaid dresses! Charcoal is the new hot color of the season. Images by Myrtle & Marjoram

Palette #5 The Romantic Wedding
Images by 39 East
This is maybe my wedding palette (which is funny because when I got married I did sage green and violet). I mean I loved violet but now that I look back on it, it is sort of funny because I have never personally been a huge fan of green for some reason, like I love it on other people and as a color…but I have never been to terribly drawn to it…and some how it ended up on my wedding Palette. But yes I think these would be my colors if I did it all over again (maybe 10 year vow renewal and a 1950′s tea length dress
Love the flower in the hair..the ruby reds, pinks and the reception lighting. Which is one thing that sometimes can get forgotten….putting a little extra effort and mola into some reception lighting can really help set the mood of the evening and insure interesting romantic wedding images. It does not need to by anything fancy. These oriental lamps I am sure can be bought in bulk online.

Well this is all for today. If you would like to see more inspiration on how to make your wedding unique check out my new fav. blogger Wedding Chicks!

On Sat. Natalie & Mark where married at Eastbrook Church in Milwaukee. The day was filled with so much joy and laughter. It was beautiful and we are so happy for the newly weds!
Recently a lot of people have been talking to me about the stress of being a wedding photographer, and yes at times it is stressful. This is the biggest day of their lives and I am the one responsible for capturing all the special moments. But the joy that comes with it far outweighs the stress, yes I want my clients to have the most perfect images to the best of our abilities and we will give a full 100 percent to each experience…and yep stress can be high. But there is such high energy at a wedding, it is breathtaking, everyone is so filled with happiness, it is contagious, and you are a part of the couples day in such a special way. The wedding photographer spends a lot of time with the happy couple on the wedding day…it is a joy, a privileged and an honor. How can you say no to that! It is the best job in the world…to see two people, so in love commit their lives to each other…it is amazing!
Natalie & Mark’s wedding was another one of these joy bursting days! Natalie just glowed in her stunning dress. The couples happiness was seriously contagious! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your day in such a special way. Both Anthony and I had a splendid time!! Congrats!

Anthony shot this beautiful image…I love how the light from the stain glass is reflecting onto Natalie’s dress. Yes that is right Anthony is now a photographer for Hanle Productions! I am so proud of my hubby! These are our shots combined together…although I put on the logo at the end either “with Brittany” or “with Anthony” that way you know who shot what! Our assistant Ashley spent the day with us as well. It was her first wedding and she did an amazing job! It will take some getting use to though because I am so use to doing everything myself…so I will have to get use to having another person to take care of a lot of things for me!

another favorite!

Awwww yay! You did it!

The cutest little girl ever!

Anthony grabed this shot while I was taking photos of the flowers.

We had a lot of fun at the park! It was a blast hanging out with the whole gang despite it was a little bit cold—-but not to bad!

awwwww breathtaking!
I have so many other images I would love to share…including the beautiful centerpieces at the reception and some amazing dance moves by the whole gang…Natalie, her sister, her brother, his wife, and Mrs. Wright herself (amazing dress by the way!) they all know how to get their groove on—-got some great dancing shots!
Happy Wednesday! Friday is almost here!

Both Antony and I took a lot of photos while on our trip in Italy…it is going to take be a really long time to sift through them all and edit. So I decided I will try and edit just a few each week or every two weeks (going in order of our trip) so that I can recreate our trip visually! I just have two much on my plate right now (lots of work, weddings to edit, marketing to do, a beautiful album to finish) so the Italy photos will come in small installations!
Anthony and I left for Italy March 14th. If you ever get the chance to fly first class Air France…you must do it! It was amazing…treated like royalty!
We landed in Roma and our pal Eric who lives in Italy came to pick us up at the airport. We spent 5 days with Eric and his roommate who live in Licola (30 minutes outside of Napoli aka Naples)….here is the beginning of our trip…

Meet Jackie…the very adorable furry friend. This is Eric’s dog! She had her very own personal photo shot with me the first afternoon that we arrived!

My handsome Anthony and the cute neighbor dog…I can’t wait to show the photos that Anthony took!

the view from Eric’s balcony…

Our 2nd experience at Cafe…my very first Italian Cappuccino!

Downtown Napoli…Napoli is a very interesting city. It is not your typical Italian tourist town. In fact not many people here speak English (if they do very little) and the place is crawling with Italinans everywhere! Amazing food and vino…cheap cheap. But it does have its downside, despite its charm it also has a huge trash issue…trash is everywhere (do to the rebelion of the city to remove trash) the air smells like exhaust and it reminds me a lot of Lima, Peru..but despite all that it is a great city with great food, and cheap designer rip offs!
Prada here we come!

Jackie hanging out on the balcony..and playing with focus..downtown Napoli

The very tall grasses that are all along the shore line in the outskirts of Napoli- I think we where lost at this point…a round about road that leads to well no where and you can’t figure out how to get back…Italy has a lot of those! A GPS with maps of Europe is a life savor.

yummy eating a rum cake for breakfast…very spongy texture…Italians eat pastries all day with cafe (very small espresso shot that has like 2 pots worth of caffeine in it! woo!) Than at dinner which they eat very late…around 8-9pm they have a very large 3-4 course meal over the period of like 2-3 hours! The reason for the late dinner is due to the fact that work starts at 8am but than they have a break from 1-3 (all shops and most restaurants will close at this time) than work will resume and they will work until 7pm..at that time the restaurants will open back up…although if you are in a heavily trafficked tourist area you may be able to eat earlier or even have a traditional lunch…they like to caterer to the tourists..

laundry- most Italians don’t have dryers…it is a luxury and so you will see laundry hanging every where! It is one of my favorite parts about Italy!

this poor doll is lost…we found her in a pile of garbage…naturally I had to take a photo of it…

awww riding into the sun on the Amalfi Coast…and some very yummy vino and capresse….lol i mean yummy nail polish tasting wine..one of the few bad restaurants…this one was in Sorrento.

Driving down the Amalfi Coast…

Anthony and I.
